Moreland user pays permit
Parking changes delayed until COVID-19 pandemic ends
Moreland Council's implementation of the new planned parking restrictions in some areas of Moreland has been delayed until after the COVID-19 pandemic is over.
We did not enforce timed restrictions while stage 4 restrictions were in place.
With restrictions easing, we will begin enforcing timed restrictions from 23 November 2020.
If you need to park for longer than allowed in a time-restricted parking space, you will need to apply for a resident parking epermit before 23 November 2020. If you do not have an epermit, you could get fined.
Further information will be available for residents and businesses in the affected areas soon.
The Moreland user parking permit is a recently introduced permit that provides longer-term access to on-street parking in areas in Moreland where time restrictions apply.
Anyone can apply for this permit to receive exemption from timed parking restrictions in a street where timed restrictions are in place.
This does not include areas with restrictions of 30 minutes or shorter or where signage is in place stating permits are not valid (e.g. in front of commercial properties).
Permits are generally issued for the street requested by the applicant.
Council may issue the permit for an alternative street or area at its discretion and in discussion with the applicant (e.g. in the case of a residential street with high occupancy).
