Borrow items

You can borrow items from any of the Moreland libraries  and from our e-library.

How many items can you borrow

You can borrow a total of 50 items including up to 30 CDs and DVDs.

How long can you borrow items

  • Books for 3 weeks
  • Magazines for 1 week
  • CDs for 3 weeks
  • DVDs for 3 weeks
  • Games for your Wii or computer for 3 weeks
  • Language kits (up to 2 kits) for 6 weeks, and
  • English as a second language (ESL) kits (up to 2 kits) for 6 weeks.

How to borrow an item

All Moreland libraries have Self Service kiosks.

Choose the items you want and bring them to a Self Service kiosk with your Library Card. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete your loan. Staff are available to assist if required. 

Library items you cannot borrow

You cannot borrow Reference books, local history material, current magazines and newspapers.  They may only be viewed in the library.

Borrowing items from other libraries 

You can ask to borrow an item from a library that is not in Moreland. You can search other library catalogues to find items you may want to borrow.

Renew or reserve an item

You can renew an item if you need to extend the borrowing time.
