Cally Berryman - The accidental gambler

Gambling Harm Awareness Week

Dr Cally Berryman sheds light on the dark world of female problem gambling. Female gambling in Australia is on the rise, and Dr Berryman, drugs, alcohol and gambling counsellor and author of fictional novel The accidental gambler doesn't believe that problem gambling is a sign of weakness, she believes that pokies are designed to hook people.

Registrations not required.

Did you know that poker machine losses in Moreland were $63.5 million in the last financial year? Poker machines are designed to be addictive and are a contributor to financial hardship and family breakdown. In partnership with the Victorian Responsible Gaming Foundation, Library services across the state are working to reduce gambling harm through their Libraries after Dark programs.

Libraries after Dark - Glenroy Library is open untill 10 pm.
