Oxford University Press is currently providing free access to content from online resources and leading journals.
What is eReference?
These are reference works – things like encyclopedias, manuals and so on – that you can access for free from the library website. Explore reference works in a whole new way online with encyclopedia articles at three levels, access to law resources and also local and family history resources.
How to access an eReference work
Moreland City Libraries have subscribed to a range of eReference works. You will need your library card number to sign in to some of these resources.
With three levels of information for children, teens and adults, Encyclopedia Britannica offers much more than just encyclopedia articles. You can also explore images, videos and related research in journals and ebooks and even translate information into different languages! You can access Encyclopedia Britannica either at the library or at home.
Ancestry Library Edition
Moreland City Libraries offers access to Ancestry Library Edition, which contains thousands of records, including passenger lists, census records, civil registration indexes, convict records, military service records and many more.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, you can access Ancestry by logging into the library catalogue with your library card number and date of birth. Look for the link on the left-hand side after you have logged in.
