How to hire a small hall or meeting room

  1. Look through our halls and meeting rooms pages to find the right venue for your event.
  2. Go to our online services website to check venue availability or make a tenative booking request.
  3. Fill in a venue booking form. You can find these on our Venue booking form page.
  4. Email your completed booking form to communityvenues@moreland.vic.gov.au. If you don't email us a completed booking form within 14 days we will cancel your tentative booking request.
  5. Once we receive your completed booking form, allow 5 working days for us to process it.
  6. If your booking is successful we will send you a confirmation letter.
  7. You must pay all the fees before your event.

    Maximum of 41 people. Increased density may be approved on a case-by-case basis.

    • Tables and chairs (10 trestle tables and 100 chairs)
    • Heating and ceiling fans
    • Kitchen (boiling water unit, oven/stove, microwave and fridge)

    • Baby change table

    • 4 accessible parking bays at the venue. The venue shares this car park and it is subject to the operating hours of the Pascoe Vale Outdoor Pool. Some parking spaces may not be available at all times.

    Hire times

    Available for hire 7 days a week between 8am and 10pm. This is subject to availability.

    Commercial/private group booking fees are:

    • Weekday hourly rate at $46.35 per hour
    • Weekend and public holiday hourly rate at $92.70 per hour

    Community Groups

    Community group booking fees are:

    • Weekday hourly rate at $23.20 per hour
    • Weekend and public holiday hourly rate at $46.35 per hour

    Not-for-profit Community Groups

    Not-for-profit Community group booking fees are:

    • Weekday hourly rate at $11.60 per hour
    • Weekend and public holiday hourly rate at $23.20 per hour

    Prices effective as of 1 July 2021, inclusive of GST. We will charge penalty rates on bookings that stay past their booking time.

    Bond

    The bond for this venue is:

    • $309.00 bond
    • $1,236.00 for events deemed high risk

    Public liability insurance

    Public liability insurance fees are $30.75, and are available for community groups or private bookings.

    We do not provide public liability insurance to commercial bookings.

    Parking

    There is parking for over 30 vehicles at the front of the venue. The entrance to the car park is on Prospect Street. The venue shares this car park and it is subject to the operating hours of the Pascoe Vale Outdoor Pool. Some parking spaces may not be available at all times. There is a limit to street parking and it is subject to restrictions.

    There are 4 accessible parking bays at this venue.
