Waste Not Warr Park Garage Sale & Warr Park Food Forest Working Bee and Launch

Waste Not Warr Park Garage Sale & Warr Park Food Forest Working Bee and Launch

Come along to our great garage sale, or get your hands dirty and join the food forest 'Permablitz'!

On Saturday 19 October, Brunswick Neighbourhood House will be hosting two large, family friendly events at Warr Park Brunswick.

It will be a day focused on sustainability, urban agriculture and creating edible gardens, sharing skills and knowledge and building community.

The ‘Waste Not Warr Park Garage Sale’ is part of the National Garage Sale Trail weekend happening all across Australia. We’re joining the movement to encourage people to reduce, reuse and repurpose - to minimise our impact on the planet.

We have many other exciting things on offer too including music, food stalls, the Waste Not Coffee Cart and wash up station, and more! At 10.30am we will officially launch the Warr Park Food Forest.

There will be a traditional smoking ceremony followed by a working bee/ ‘permablitz’ - where everyone’s invited to join in, share and learn new skills, meet new people, and help plant and build the Food Forest. Guided by expert facilitators from Very Edible Gardens, the permablitz is for everyone to be part of - whether you’re a beginner or expert gardener.
