Transition Streets - Let's talk, imagine, and connect over the better future possibilities in our neighbourhood!
Let's think about the type of community we want to live in and start creating that vision now.
The Transition movement (originally called Transition Towns) began in the UK over a decade ago. There are now hundreds of Transition groups around the globe, exploring local strategies for building low carbon, resilient communities able to respond to the challenges of climate change, resource depletion and environmental degradation.
Transition Streets encourages us to develop relationships within our immediate neighbourhood that will help us explore and respond to some of the significant environmental challenges before us.
Whilst we face an uncertain future, we also have the opportunity to think about the type of community we want to live in and to start creating that vision now, with cooperation and creativity.
Afternoon tea provided. Children welcome. Gold coin donation.
