Grow a Box Garden

Create your own artwork to add to the Box Garden in the Brunswick Town Hall Atrium.

Come along to the Fantastic Worlds exhibition and help Grow a Box Garden in the Atrium Space, Brunswick Town Hall.

Children are invited to help cultivate and create a box garden and play zone out of cardboard boxes, tape, chalk, pens, pencils and cut paper like Mae does in Anna Walker’s book, Florette.

Visitors are invited to decorate boxes with their pictures of flowers, plants, insects and birds and then either take them home, or add them to an installation that grows over the duration of the exhibition.

Over time, it is hoped that the garden will flourish and grow through audience contribution.

This public program is associated with the Fantastic Worlds exhibition of picture book art and related media at the Counihan Gallery In Brunswick. Exhibition runs until Sunday 28 July 2019.

Fantastic Worlds is supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.
