White goods

A number of service providers will collect broken or unwanted fridges and other white goods from households free of charge.

Kids off the kerb will collect fridges and other items including washing machines, clothes dryers, microwave ovens, stoves, cooktops, ovens, hotplates and cooktops. The Whitegoods Refurbishment and Recycling program is a social enterprise giving young people the opportunity to improve their skills and create education and employment opportunities. To book a collection please call 9982 5600.

Brotherhood Fridges repairs donated fridges which are then sold either to low-income households or through their retail outlets. If a fridge cannot be repaired it is degassed and recycled for scrap metal. You can book a collection from the Brotherhood of St Laurence website.
