Flu Vaccine Availability
Due to unprecedented demand, and the uncertain availability of fee for service influenza vaccine, we are temporarily suspending our fee for service influenza vaccine program. We will review this decision over the coming weeks, and apologise for any inconvenience. We will continue to offer influenza vaccine to all those eligible for the free program.
Free flu vaccine is available for all children aged 6 months to under 5 years. It also available free to those who fall into medical at risk categories - such as severe asthma, lung or heart disease, low immunity or diabetes. All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people over 6 months old, and all pregnant women anytime during every pregnancy, people aged 65 years and older are eligible for free flu vaccine.
Children aged under 9 having the vaccine for the first time require 2 doses at least 4 weeks apart. All other age groups require a single dose only. Please contact us for further information.
