Appointments with the Maternal and Child Health Service
See the Council service announcements in relation to COVID-19 page for details on our services during current restrictions.
Your first contact with the Maternal and Child Health Service
There are a number of Maternal Child and Health centres located in the Moreland area.
The centre you attend is determined by where you live.
The hospital where you had your baby notifies Moreland City Council of the birth of your baby and provides Council with your contact details. This information is then passed on to a Maternal and Child Health Nurse in your area.
Your allocated Maternal and Child Health Nurse will contact you within a week of your return from hospital to organise a time to visit you at home and to make an appointment for you to visit the Maternal and Child Health centre.
Maternal and Child Health Service now on Saturdays
Beginning on Saturday 27th February 2021 MCH is running Saturday appointments from 9-12pm. We will have two centres a month open, each with two nurses seeing clients.
