Dogs and cats found by Council officers, which are not microchipped, not registered and have not identification, are taken to Council's pound, The Epping Animal Welfare Facility. This facility is managed by RSPCA Victoria.
The facility provides a Lost and Found Pets site, which lists dogs and cats found in the Cities of Moreland, Darebin and Whittlesea and taken to the facility.
This listing does not include feral cats or dangerous and restricted breed dogs.
If your pet is listed on the Lost and Found Pets site, please contact the Epping Animal Welfare Facility:

In December 2017, Council adopted the Domestic Animal Management Plan (PDF 1Mb). One initiative was compulsory cat desexing. Desexing not only reduces the population of stray, unwanted animals, but it also helps pets to live longer and healthier lives. An exception applies when a veterinarian has advised against desexing for health reasons or where a cat is being kept for recognised breeding purposes. Owners need to provide Council with a letter from their veterinarian or a copy of the breeding certificate.
If you have lost your pet, you can list your lost pet's details on our Lost pets page.
