How you can help

There are many ways you can participate in and help with the work of Friends of Aileu, East Timor, including:

Friends of Aileu stall

  • Helping to staff information stalls at community events
  • Submitting ideas for awareness-raising or fundraising
  • Assisting at fundraising events, such as our annual Trivia Night
  • Contacting local organisations and businesses that may be interested in assisting with fundraising
  • Contributing articles to the quarterly newsletter or to news and events, and
  • Hosting visitors from Timor-Leste.

Make a donation

You can make a general donation to Friends of Aileu or donate to a project of your choice.

At this stage tax deducatability is not available.

All funds donated to Friends of Aileu are transferred to Timor-Leste partners to support agreed projects in Aileu - see Our projects and achievements.

Gift certificates

You can purchase a gift certifcate to one or more of Friends of Aileu's projects in Timor-Leste as a present to a family member or friend.

You nominate the project and the amount, then the gift certificate with the project information is sent to the person. The projects covered include the Oral Health Project, the Laulara Birthing Centre, and the Cr Andy Ingham University Scholarship Program.

The organic beans for Wild Timor Coffee are purchased direct from farmers in Aileu on a fair and direct-trade basis.

The Wild Timor Coffee Company also funds a range of community development activities chosen in partnership with their suplier communities in Belumahatu, Aileu.
