Amendment C192 rezones land at 98-102 Albert Street, Brunswick East to Commercial 1 Zone and applies the Environmental Audit Overlay to it.
The Commercial 1 Zone is supported by a section 173 agreement that requires at least 30% of the gross floor area of any new building to be for employment and economic uses and that a minimum of 20% of dwellings within the building are to be provided for affordable housing as defined by the Planning and Environment Act 1987. The Commercial 1 Zone with the agreement in place will achieve the land use outcomes sought by Moreland Industrial Land Strategy for Category 2 (Employment) Areas while providing for increased housing provision within the Brunswick Activity Centre.
