Moreland City Council stands proud at 2019 Midsumma Festival (media release)

Are you planning on heading to Victoria’s premier LGBTQIA+ cultural festival, Midsumma Carnival on Sunday 20 January? Why not swing past the Moreland City Council and say hello to our friendly staff!

Moreland City Council is proud to join with 6  other Northern Melbourne Councils to show support for members of the LGBTQI+ community at the carnival, just one of a great list of events happening between 19 January to 10 February 2019 as part of the Annual Midsumma Festival.

Staff will be on hand at the carnival to chat all things Council services, and also looking for participants to fill out a short survey that is looking to find out how councils like Moreland can be more inclusive and supportive of all people.

Moreland City Council has a proud history of standing with our LGBTQIA+ community, something that is recognised in the Moreland Human Rights Policy, and through participation in community campaigns such as #ThisCampaignisQueer.

Council staff will also be participating  in the Midsumma Pride March on Sunday 3 February and would love you to join them (Wave P) gathering at 11.30am.
