Carols by the Lake - This Saturday (Media release)

Carols by the Lake is the perfect event to get the whole family into the Christmas spirit and sing along to their favourite Christmas carols.

For many residents in the municipality it's a staple favourite on Moreland's annual events calendar.

The Brunswick Secondary College Choir will be one of the talented choirs performing on the night under the direction of choir director Emily Palekis.

"Carols by the Lake is a great opportunity for family and friends to enjoy a night of free festive entertainment under the stars," Ms Palekis said.

"It also gives our students a chance to proudly demonstrate their vocal talents for their peers and community while building self esteem and confidence in their vocal ability."

Hosted by Geraldine Quinn and Daniel Oldaker, audiences can expect performances by Moreland City Band, Brunswick Secondary College Choir, Angela Lumicisi, Michelle Nicolle, Gianni Marinucci, The Oliver Clark, The Ukalypts, VICSEG Lullaby Choir, Auslan Stage Left and Santa.

Candles and program song books will be available from the Lions Club of Glenroy upon arrival at the event.

Food and refreshment will also be available for purchase from local providers.

Single-use water bottles will not be available for purchase at this event. Instead bring a bottle or cup and water will be provided by Yarra Valley Water's Choose Tap program.
