Proposed road discontinuance between 71 and 73 Winifred Street, Oak Park
Moreland City Council, acting under section 206 and Schedule 10 Clause 3 of the Local Government Act 1989 proposes to discontinue the road between 71 and 73 Winifred Street, Oak Park, which is shown shaded on the plan below.
If discontinued, Council proposes to retain the land title from the road, in accordance with its Rights of Way Associated Policies 2011 (DOC 116Kb) and Rights of Way Strategy (DOC 3Mb). It is proposed to retain the land as a strategic link into John Pascoe Fawkner Reserve.
Make a submission
Submissions on the proposal closed at 5 pm on Wednesday 1 August 2018.
All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Act.
Following the consideration of any submissions, Council may decide to discontinue the road, part of the road, or not to discontinue the road.
A person who made a submission was able to request in their submission that they wish to appear in person, or to be represented by a person specified in the submission, in support of the submission at the Hearing of Submissions Committee on Wednesday 22 August 2018 at 6 pm, at Moreland Civic Centre, 90 Bell Street, Coburg.
Any person who made a written submission under section 223 of the Act is advised that all submissions and personal information in the submission will be handled by Council in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014.
