Naming of a new feature - Wheatsheaf Road Community Hub
Moreland City Council is building a new Community Hub at 50-62 Wheatsheaf Road Glenroy. It is located adjacent to Bridget Shortell Reserve and will be built on the site formerly known as Glenroy Primary School. The building (feature) will contain Maternal and Child Health, Kindergarten and long day care services, a modern library, community meeting rooms, a community health service, neighbourhood learning centre, and community garden.
Council is seeking suggestions of a name for the new feature.
In accordance with Council’s Naming Moreland Places Policy, any person is invited to submit suggestions.
A submission should include relevant background information and needs to meet the criteria set out in Council’s Naming Moreland Places Policy and the State Government’s Naming rules for places in Victoria – Statutory requirements for naming roads, features and localities – 2016. This can be viewed via the Property and Land Titles website.
Any submissions should be made in writing and forwarded to Pauline Kiely, Property Officer at Moreland City Council, Locked Bag 10, Moreland 3058,or delivered to the Moreland Civic Centre, 90 Bell Street Coburg or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
In accordance with Geographic Names Victoria, Council must publicly advertise the naming proposal for a minimum of 30 days. The deadline for submissions is Friday 6 March 2020.
