Name your new park on West Street, Brunswick
Council is creating a new park to be located at 1-11 West Street in Brunswick, and we're seeking your suggestions on what to name it. This project is part of A Park Close to Home.
We're creating a new park at 1-11 West Street and 29-31 Breese Street in Brunswick as part of 'A Park Close to Home' project.
The new park will include trees; adventure play elements, indigenous art and plantings and more.
To kick off this exciting project, we need a suitable name for the new park, and we're asking the community to place a vote!
Two name options for the new park at West Street were raised by the community during consultations in September 2019. These names relate to the history, heritage and character of Brunswick.
You are invited to vote on your preferred name for Brunswick's new park via the Conversations Moreland website by Friday 24 January 2020.
All votes submitted via Conversations Moreland will be counted, and the name with the most votes will become the official name of the park, pending approvals.
If you wish to object to the suggested names, you can write to us explaining why by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
In accordance with Council’s Naming Moreland Places Policy, any person is invited to submit suggestions.
