We provide access to a variety of resources in different formats and languages. These include:

Internet and word processing

Interested in using the Internet? Then become a registered Internet user.

First, you need to have your own Moreland City Libraries membership card.

Next, you need to fill in an Internet User form (visit the policies page for the policy and application form). 

For children under 18, a parent or guardian has to sign the form in front of a library employee.

An Internet user sticker is placed on your membership card and your computer record is updated to show that you are a registered Internet user.

Email terminals are available at all Moreland City Libraries branches free of charge. Access to the Internet for information is also free. Bookings are for half an hour or a maximum of one hour per day.

Printing is charged at 20 cents per page.

Need to so some word processing?

You can write letters, resumes, school assignments, etc using our Word Processing facilities. The cost of this service is $2.40 per hour (or $1.20 per hour with concession), as well as the additional cost of printing, which is 20 cents per page. (Only library-provided paper can be used).

Both services must be booked in advance, due to demand. You can book over the phone or in person. Please bring your membership card as proof of ID.

Languages other than English

Lending materials are provided in 17 languages other than English.

Moreland Adult Education

  • Moreland Adult Education (MAE) - main office in Munro Street, Coburg - has been operating since 1982, offering education to adults in convenient venues. They offer Literacy and Basic Education, ESL, Computers (from beginners to more advanced), VCE (Units 1 and 2 in English, Information Technology and Drama) as well as State and nationally accredited courses.
  • MAE offers patient and friendly teachers specialising in adult studies, flexible delivery hours (both day and evening) and negotiated learning addressing students needs.

A colour photocopier is available at Coburg only.

A maximum of $5 will be given in change at any one time. You are responsible for your own photocopying and there are no refunds. The key will not be given out under any circumstance and, to avoid paper jams, users may not provide their own paper.
