Moreland's arts precinct in Brunswick provides a focus for arts-based activities in Moreland. This precinct includes the Counihan Gallery In Brunswick, Moreland's municipal gallery, and the Mechanics Institute Performing Arts Centre.

The Counihan Gallery In Brunswick is Moreland City Council's contemporary visual arts gallery. The gallery aims to promote and inspire innovation and diversity in the visual arts through its annual program of exhibitions.

It offers visitors the opportunity to experience the breadth of arts practice currently undertaken by local, interstate and international artists. The gallery is named in honour of the Australian artist and activist Noel Counihan.

Gallery hours are:

Wednesday to Saturday, 11am - 5pm
Sunday, 1pm - 5pm

Entry to the gallery is free.

Artists wishing to apply to exhibit in the gallery during 2009 should obtain an information pack from the Counihan Gallery In Brunswick by phoning 9389 8622 or by down loading one from the website.
