Trees and gardens

Gardening with indigenous plants Use indigenous (native) plants to make your garden drought tolerant and fit in with Moreland's natural environment.
Landscape plans for new homes You need to submit a detailed landscape design with a planning permit application for a new home as a result of a sub division, new units or a high density housing development.
Nature strips The land between your footpath and the road. Your responsibilities and guidelines for changing it.
Remove a street tree Council usually removes a street tree if it is dead, dangerous or diseased.
Street landscape projects Council makes and cares for street landscapes. A street landscape includes street trees, plants for road traffic treatment, garden beds, and the use of alternative materials other than grass, asphalt or concrete.
Street tree planting Council plants street trees every year between May and September.
Street trees The trees along public streets. Council plants, looks after and removes street trees.
