Vehicle Crossing Permits
New Application Process for Vehicle Crossing Permits
Moreland City Council has introduced a new and simplified process for applying for vehicle crossing permits. The process is easier, less time consuming and more in line with your needs. It will save you considerable time because you do not need to visit Council in person to complete the application process.
Steps to complete an application
- Contact Council's Operation Centre on 8311 4300 to arrange a suitable day for Council to conduct an onsite preliminary inspection. A Council Officer will contact you on the day of the inspection to arrange a specific time for the inspection.
- During the preliminary inspection the Council Officer will assess your application and provide you with all the necessary information including an invoice. There are additional payment options (including the Internet) which are detailed on the invoice. Please note that the Council Officer may request additional information or site changes may be required prior to Council granting approval for the new crossing.
- When approval has been granted and before commencing any works, you must contact Council's Operation Centre to arrange a pre-pour onsite inspection. No work is to commence prior to this inspection and the inspection will only take place when all permit fees and charges have been paid.
- Council will inspect the property after the works have been carried out to ensure they meet council specifications and that any reinstatement or rectification works have been undertaken to Council satisfaction.
