eReference

What is eReference?

These are reference works – things like encyclopedias, manuals and so on – that you can access for free from the library website. Explore reference works in a whole new way online with encyclopedia articles at three levels, or explore local and family history resources online.

How to access an eReference work

Moreland City Libraries have subscribed to a range of eReference works. You will need your library card number to sign in to these resources.

Encyclopedia Britannica

With three levels of information for children, teens and adults, Encyclopedia Britannica offers much more than just encyclopedia articles. You can also explore images, videos and related research in journals and ebooks and even translate information into different languages! You can access Encyclopedia Britannica either at the library or at home.

Local and family history

Moreland City Libraries also offer many eReference resources for researching Local and family history, including Ancestry.com, the UK National Archives and Findmypast.com.
