School holiday activities

Free activities for primary school children are held at Moreland libraries during the school holidays.

Activities include performers, craft, and book-related activities. Activities are for children attending primary school in 2017.

Bookings are essential as numbers are limited.

You can register to book by clicking on the event. Alternatively, you can call the library to book or ask one of our staff.

Carp Productions Heroes and Villains

2 pm, Monday 25 September, Glenroy Library 

The legendary Heroes and Villains of books and comics are competing in the supreme showdown between Good and Evil.

See some of the most popular heroes and notorious villains from your favourite books battle it out!

The Riddler or Batman? Prince Charming or the Big Bad Wolf? Captain Hook or Peter Pan? Watch your favourite goodies and baddies in action, vying for the title of Most Popular of All. Includes the story ‘Little Red Riding Hood.’ Who is the best? Only you can decide!”

Going bananas with Makey Makey electronics

For children aged 8 plus only.

Bananas are more than just monkey food. Makey Makey electronics allow children to interact with their computers by using everyday objects such as bananas as a replacement for keyboards and mice.

String together plastic bottle tops to create a unique friend to take home.

Stop motion animation on iPads for ages 8 plus

2 pm, Tuesday 26 September, Fawkner Library

Create a short film using stop animation technology on an iPad. Bring along your own small props like Lego figures, toy cars and plastic animals. Suitable for school aged children only.

Wild Action presents: Insect-a-mania
