Friends of Edgars Creek planting and maintenance

Meet on the third Sunday of the month from 1 - 3 pm to revegetate along the Edgars Creek.

The Friends of Edgars Creek is a community group that was established in 2007 to help restore and protect the Edgars Creek, the largest tributary of Merri Creek.  

The group meets on the third Sunday of the month from March through to November to undertake activities along the creek including:

  • Plantings and hands-on activities
  • Litter cleanup
  • Talks, walks and tours
  • Campaigns against major threats to the Creek
  • Community education and planning
  • Water quality testing

New members and volunteers are always welcome.

Wear sturdy shoes, appropriate clothes and bring your gardening gloves.
