A community event that celebrates the uniqueness of Fawkner.
With loads of community stalls, delicious food vendors and a packed stage program, the Fawkner Festa is a fun filled, free event for the whole family.

Fawkner Festa returned to CB Smith Reserve, Jukes Road on Sunday 12 November 2017.

Percussion Parade with St Matthew’s and St Mark’s Primary Schools and Tumbarumba
Pop down to see the Festa open with a big band bang! Primary school students of St Matthew’s and St Mark’s have joined forces with multi-talented singer, percussionist, dancer and all-round-force-of-nature Neda Rahmani – guided by the celebratory percussive beats of Tumbarumba.
Soak up the true spirit of Iraqi music with Mesopotamia Group, founded in 2006. Mesopotamia strives to share Iraqi Music with different communities, bringing people together to joyfully enjoy their vision of reviving Iraqi Music in Australia.
Aseel is a performance and installation artist. She describes herself as "born in Palestine under Israel’s occupation", where she used art to resist and to empower her community. She believes that art can change lives, and in this spirit has worked with refugees across the world.
Outer Urban Projects Dance Alliance
Join Dance Alliance’s expert dance instructors – along with two young emerging dancers – for a special public dance workshop, open to all ages and abilities. Designed to be fun and engaging for everyone the session will also feature guest performances by Outer Urban Projects ‘Zone2’ vocal and music crew.
Close your eyes and let this bohemian band take you straight to the gypsy streets of Istanbul. You’ll dance, laugh and sometimes cry with the energetic melodies of Australia`s favourite Turkish gypsy band.
Giant Seagulls presented by Snuff Puppets
Snuff Puppets is a big, brute and anarchic puppet troupe for everybody. For 25 years Snuff Puppets have been unleashing their giant puppet spectacles for millions of people worldwide and have travelled to dozens of countries across 5 continents – now they’re coming to Fawkner!
