MY Vision
MY Vision
Due to a shortage of nominations received for MY Vision, the Moreland Youth Network, a local network comprising representatives from local services and agencies working with young people in Moreland, have proposed to postpone the establishment of MY Vision and instead work to consolidate the Moreland Youth Network. This will help us to expand the membership of the network and strengthen our capacity to plan and influence improved outcomes for young people, whilst still working toward the formation of a visionary group in future years.
If you are interested in the purpose and outcomes of MY Vision, please visit the Moreland Youth Network page for details on the network and how to be placed on the mailing list.
What is MY Vision?
MY Vision (Moreland Youth Visionary Group) brings together young people, community representatives, local youth service providers and government with an interest in improving outcomes for young people.
The group is guided by strategic themes, which include:
- engaging with the community and working proactively to advocate and provide strategic advice on local issues
- provide ways for young people, the local service sector and local youth networks to feed into and inform local area planning
- encourage and maintain connections with relevant service providers and peak bodies at a regional, state and federal level
- develop a two-year strategic local area planning cycle, informed by policy analysis and research
- work collaboratively to identify funding, and further to support the application process, to address local issues, needs and service gaps
The membership of MY Vision aims to reflect a cross section of stakeholders in the community, representing diverse knowledge and expertise regarding young people.
Membership seeks to include representation from:
- Direct service providers
- Local educational providers
- Young people
- Community, and
- Government.
