Moreland Youth Commitment
What is the Moreland Youth Commitment?
The Moreland Youth Commitment is a network of schools, industry, education and community providers committed to improving access and opportunity for all young people living in Moreland.
Key Goals – to support young people 10 to 19 years of age to:
- to make a better transition from primary to secondary school and engage them in learning
- complete Year 12 either at school or in an alternative setting
- obtain an education or training qualification that is equivalent to Certificate II, or
- obtain a full-time job that is linked to further education or training.
Membership
Membership is free and open to primary and secondary schools, TAFE, industry, local council, parents, education and community organisations within the Moreland area, who are willing to work as a community to enhance the well-being, learning, training and work opportunities of its young people. The Network respects the rights of all people and organisations represented and values open sharing, the participation and contribution of all its members.
