In Australia voting is compulsory. It's your right!
Cell 2
If you are a resident or ratepayer you may be eligible to enrol to vote in the Moreland City Council election.
Eligible voters are listed on the Council's voters' roll and are entitled to vote for a Councillor to represent their ward or district.
Cell 3
Local government Councillors are elected by the residents and ratepayers of the municipality.
Cell 4
Moreland City Council is represented by eleven Councillors elected from three wards. The ward names and the number of Councillors representing each ward are:
- South-Ward (three Councillors)
- North-West Ward (four Councillors), and
- North-East Ward (four Councillors).
