Cyber-bullying CALD COM launched
On Monday 6 February, Moreland City Council launched a CALDCOM Storyboard about Cyber-bullying (PDF 1Mb).
It helps to inform people from non-English speaking backgrounds about cyber-bullying.
The Cyber-bullying Storyboard was launched by Race Discrimination Commissioner Helen Szoke, Cr Oscar Yildiz and the parents of Allem Halkic, 17. Allem jumped to his death from West Gate Bridge in February 2009.
The parents of Brodie Panlock also helped launch the board. Brodie's suicide at the age of 19 after a campaign of bullying by three co-workers led to the introduction last year of laws which make bullying at work a criminal offence, known as Brodie’s Law.
