Leadership mentoring
Leadership Mentoring is a program that supports people with a disability who are interested in leadership.
Leadership Mentoring connects people with a disability with leaders in Council. You can experience various forms of leadership in local government, understand the way a council works and strengthen your leadership skills.
A mentoring partnership usually runs for approximately 8 weeks.
What you get from a mentorship
A mentoree:
- has one-on-one meetings and discussions with their mentor
- observes a leader in action at meeting or conferences
- attends a Council meeting, and
- does specific activities to meet your leadership goals.
Applying for a mentorship
Leadership Mentoring is open all year. Please contact Council and ask for the MetroAccess Officer.
This is a MetroAccess project.
