Amendment C102 - 511 - 537 Sydney Road, Coburg
Status
On 24 December 2010, the Minster for Planning approved Amendment C102 to the Moreland Planning Scheme. The Amendment came into effect on 20 January 2011, the day it was published in the Government Gazette.
About the Amendment
The Amendment rezoned land at 511-537 Sydney Road, Coburg from Business 1 Zone and Industrial 3 Zone to Business 2 Zone; applies a Design and Development Overlay (Schedule 14) to the land; and applies the Environmental Audit Overlay to the land.
A delegate of the Minister for Planning used his powers under Section 20(4) of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 to exempt himself from undertaking notice of the Amendment, and to prepare, adopt and approve Amendment C102.
The former Minister for Planning, Mr Justin Madden, undertook consultation with effected landowners and occupiers on Amendment C102 in December 2009. At this time, Amendment C102 proposed to rezone and apply overlays to multiple parcels of land, located along Bell Street and Sydney Road Coburg, within Precinct 6 and 7 of the Coburg 2020 Structure Plan. A delegate of the Minister for Planning, Mr Matthew Guy, decided however in December 2010 to approve Amendment C102 to rezone the land at 511-537 Sydney Road Coburg only.
