The Coburg urban redevelopment project will give the people of Moreland the opportunity to live, work and spend leisure time in new public spaces serviced by revitalised commercial and retail activities.
Key projects of the Coburg urban redevelopment project are guided by the vision in the Coburg 2020 Structure Plan.
The key projects include:
- improvements to the public realm addressing safety and accessibility
- better integration of transport options, including cycling and walking
- increased housing options
- embedding of environmentally sustainable development
- expanded leisure and recreation options
- enhanced health and wellbeing services
- increased retail and commercial opportunities, and
- improvements to library and learning facilities.
