Use the occupancy form below if Council issued your building permit.
Council’s Moreland Building Services offers a competitive building permit and inspection service.
Apply for a building permit from Council
1. Download, print and fill in the building permit application form (DOC 91Kb)
2. Check the building permit checklist for extra information to include.
3. Submit your application, extra information and the permit fee:
- in person at our Coburg office, 90 Bell Street, Coburg, or
- by mail to Moreland Building Services, Locked Bag 10, Moreland, 3058.
Apply for a variation to a building permit or for extension of time from Moreland Building Services
If Council’s Moreland Building Services issued your building permit, you can apply to vary the permit or apply for an extension of time to complete the works.
1. Download, print and fill in the Building Permit Variation application form (DOC 61Kb) or Extension of Time application form (DOC 55Kb).
2. Submit your application and application fee:
- in person at Moreland Civic Centre, 90 Bell Street, Coburg, or
- by mail to Moreland Building Services, Locked Bag 10, Moreland, 3058.
Occupancy permit from Council
Use a Moreland Building Services Occupancy Permit if Moreland Building Services issued your building permit.
1. Download, print and fill in the Occupancy Permit application form (DOC 85Kb).
2. Submit your application:
- in person at at Moreland Civic Centre, 90 Bell Street, Coburg, or
- by mail to Moreland Building Services, Locked Bag 10, Moreland, 3058.
