This is a free community event presented by Council for all the family. Join in with a free sausage sizzle as well as roving entertainment from 8 pm. The film Red Dog screens from nightfall (approximately 9 pm).
Red Dog (Drama, rated PG, 92 Minutes)
When Red Dog first arrives in the dusty Western Australian mining town of Dampier in 1971, he has no master and jumps into any lap or any car that wants him. But when American drifter John comes to town for work, Red Dog takes to him. The locals, like publican Jack, love him. The caravan park manager and his cat, are not so keen though! Newcomer Nancy and John get along well and they become a couple, adopting Red Dog as their much-loved pet. So when John fails to come home one day, Red Dog waits for him and finally sets off to track him down on an epic journey around Australia.

Rio (Family/Animated, rated G, 96 Minutes)
Blu is a domesticated Macaw who never learned to fly. He enjoys a comfortable life with his owner and best friend Linda. Blu and Linda think he's the last of his kind, but when they learn about another macaw who lives in Rio de Janeiro, they head to the exotic city to find Jewel, Blu's female counterpart. Not long after they arrive, Blu and Jewel are kidnapped by a group of bungling animal smugglers. Blu escapes, aided by the street smart Jewel and a group of wisecracking and smooth-talking city birds. Now, with his new friends by his side, Blu will have to find the courage to learn to fly, thwart the kidnappers who are hot on their trail, and return to Linda.

This exciting event celebrates the official launch of one of Victoria’s first free public outdoor Internet services, delivering yet another outcome for young people as part of the ‘oxYgen project.
The event will be hosted by Moreland Council CEO Peter Brown and officially launched by Mayor Cr. John Kavanagh and the Youth Facilities and Services Steering Committee. It will include night skating workshops, free food and entertainment.
