The newly re-visioned annual program formerly known as Fawkner Festival has been transformed from a five hour event to a five-day event. The five-day program which encompasses artistic, cultural and recreational activities as well as information about local groups.
Events and activities will take place in several locations, including the major local retail strips in Fawkner, such as Major Road and Bonwick Street. From Tuesday to Friday a series of lunchtime concerts will be held across Fawkner culminating in a 3 hour concert on Saturday 3 November at Bonwick Street.

How to get involved
You too can be involved. This is a great way to promote your group or to come along and find out about groups and activities in your area.
Community groups/organisations and businesses are encouraged to propose to organise activities which will be promoted as part of the program. Please note: all proposed acitivities will need to be approved for inclusion in the program by the relevant Council Officer.
Propose an existing activity/program that already occurs at your site or stage a specially-devised activity/event/program to be promoted in the marketing material. This could be:
- an Open Day
- an exhibition
- a fundraising event
- a workshop, class or sports clinic, and
- a craft / artist / farmers Market.
To submit your proposal to be involved, please complete the Community Participation Expression of Interest Form ( ). Please note: Council will not be coordinating commercial market stalls for hte 2012 Fawkner Festa.
