Events permit not needed
Why do I need to register my event?
Council hosts many activities throughout the year at the many open spaces within Moreland. Many of these activities and events do not require an event permit. We ask you to let us know of your event so we can advise you if you will be impacted by any other events or activities already planned.
Please check here to find out if you require an event permit.
You need an Event Permit if you need the following:
- on site vehicle access
- on site infrastructure e.g. marquees, temporary stages,
- amusement rides or animal farms
- access to on site power
- access to on site water
- playing of amplified music or sound
- priority access to an area of a park/reserve, or
- closure of street or road.
If you have answered YES to any of the above, you will need to obtain an Event Permit from Council.
Please complete the Event Permit Application Form (DOC 75Kb) and send to the address shown on the form.
If you answered NO to all of the above, you do not require an event permit, however we ask you to register your event with us to avoid conflicting with other events.
Please complete the Non-Permit Event Registration Form (DOC 27Kb) and email Community Events or send by post to:
