Brunswick Cycling Club Pavilion
The Brunswick Cycling Pavilion and velodrome is located at Roberts Reserve, East Brunswick and hosts the Brunswick Cycling Club (BCC).
The BCC is a volunteer-run club with over 500 members. The club encourages all ages and abilities of competitive road and track cycling and has a large junior development program. In 2016 the BCC will be 100 years old.
In August 2011, a report on the condition of Brunswick Cycling Pavilion found that the pavilion was in poor condition with some wall cracking. A recommendation was made to undertake significant
remedial action. The building was subsequently demolished in
An interim pavilion was installed in 2013 to allow the club activities to continue. This interim pavilion served the club until the construction of the new pavilion was completed. Members from the BCC and the general public continued to use the velodrome and small canteen. Council also installed portable toilets and shipping containers for temporary storage.

- Construction costs $900,000
- Expected project completion date: November 2015
- Remaining landscape works and reinstatement of the bike path: December 2015
- Upgrade the velodrome track and lighting: 2016-17 financial year
Major stages of the project
Construction and Building Design Pty Ltd were engaged to design and construct the new Brunswick Cycling Pavilion.
A Planning Permit for the removal of native trees and vegetation was obtained on 11 May 2015 with construction commencing on 25 May 2015.
Official handover of the new pavilion to the Brunswick Cycling Club took place on 10 October 2015. The project was completed ahead of schedule.
The remaining landscape works and reinstatement of the bike path are planned for completion by the end of 2015.
