Notice of intention to sell land
Moreland City Council gives public notice pursuant to S189 of the Local Government Act 1989 (The Act) that it intends to sell part of its land at 366-370 Waterloo Road, Glenroy to Lay Brothers for the construction of an Aldi store and acquire part of Lay Brothers land at 358 Waterloo Road, Glenroy enabling both parties to consolidate their fragmented sites.
Moreland City Council also gives public notice pursuant to S190 of the Local Government Act 1989 (The Act) that it intends to lease part of its land at 366-377 to Lay Brothers to be used as a car park for the Aldi customers.
At its meeting on 12 April 2017, Council authorised the commencement of the statutory process to sell the site by private treaty to Lay Brothers and lease the newly acquired site back to them to be used as a car park.
Council’s land is zoned Public Use Local Government (PUZ6) and measures 997m², Lay Brothers land is zoned Commercial 1 (C1Z) and measures 683m².
How to make a submission
All submissions should be submitted no later than Friday 19 May 2017 and should quote reference number H16/3876.

Written submissions in relation to the proposed sale will be considered in accordance with S223 of The Act.
A person making a submission is entitled to request that they wish to appear in person, or to be represented by a nominated person, at a meeting of the Council or its Urban Planning Committee on a date, time and place to be determined by Council.
Following the consideration of any submissions, Council will make a decision regarding the sale of the land at a Council meeting to be determined.
