Post Office Place toilets to close, new toilets open
Council recently installed a new automated toilet on the corner of Morgan Court and Glenroy Road in Glenroy.
Council will close the existing toilet block near the corner of Post Office Place and Dowd Place, in front of the Glenroy Railway station.
The Post Office Place toilets will close mid June and will be demolished by the end of July.
Features of new unisex toilet in Glenroy
The new toilet is now operating. Its features include:
- compliance with Australian Standard 1428.1 for access and mobility
- automated floor washing and drying system
- automated door opening, closing and locking system
- electric toilet paper dispensing system
- automated hand washing basin and drying station
- muzak voice messaging and audio instruction
- sanipad disposal chute and bin
- needle disposal chute and bin
- hearing aid LED sign
- fire detection and water sprays
- no-touch buttons
- textured reinforced concrete external walls
- tiled internal walls
- floors: non-slip tiles
- stainless steel doors, and
- baby change table.
