The Coburg Initiative Design Workshop 1 - 3 June
Members of the public and stakeholders are invited to observe The Coburg Intitiative's Design Workshop on Coburg's future redevelopment or catch up on what happened in the evening Open Public Studios.
Coburg Initiative Design Workshop
- 8.30 am - 5.30 pm, Monday 1 June – Wednesday 3 June 2009
- Coburg Town Hall, 90 Bell Street, Coburg
Public gallery
- Members of the public can observe the workshops on Monday and Tuesday from an audience gallery.
- Wednesday's Design Workshop is not open to the public, but the public can come to the presentation of final outcomes at 6 pm.
What will happen?
It's an intensive three day planning and design exercise that brings together key stakeholders and members of the community to discuss, develop and explore possible planning solutions for Central Coburg.
Who participates in the Design Workshop?
Representatives of Council and its development partner Equiset, State Government agencies, the local community, the not-for profit sector and local business.
Open Public Studio sessions
5.30 pm - 7 pm, Monday 1 June and Tuesday 2 June
If you can't observe the Design Workshop during the day, the Open Public Studio is a record of the day's discussion and outcomes. At each session there will be:
- outcomes of recent public consultation
- posters of the discussion and plans that happened in that day's workshop
- staff members from The Coburg Initiative to chat and answer questions about what happened in that day's Design Workshops.

Final presentation of outcomes: drinks and nibbles
6 pm - 7.45 pm on Wednesday 3 June
Everyone is encouraged to attend the final public presentation of outcomes from 6 pm - 7.45 pm on Wednesday 3 June, to be followed by drinks and nibbles.
