Refugee Week celebrations at Brunswick Town Hall

Refugee Week 2009 Eritrean Coffee CeremonyMoreland Multicultural and Settlement Services Network and The Asylum Seeker Welcome Centre in Brunswick invite you to celebrate Refugee Week.

Book launch of "Share my plate"

As part of the celebrations, the Asylum Seeker Welcome Centre launches its new recipe book called "Share my plate". It's a compilation of recipes from the Tuesday night dinners at the Asylum Seekers Welcome Centre. While celebrating diverse cultures, these Tuesday night meals help strengthen and enhance a sense of belonging for people who attend.

Dur'e Dara, the Malaysian born Australian Restauranteur and a patron of the Victorian Foundation for the Survivors of Torture will launch the book.

  • 17 June
  • The Atrium at Brunswick Town Hall, 230 Sydney Road, Brunswick 
  • 6 pm - 8.30 pm
  • Food, music, a traditional Eritrean Coffee Ceremony, a raffle and henna painting

All donations go to support the work of the Asylum Seeker Welcome Centre. Children are welcome.
