Neat Streets Competition
Council is searching for Moreland’s neatest street!
How to enter:
- Take two to five photographs of your street.
- Take the photos between Friday 14 July - Friday 24 July.
- Supporting photos will be accepted taken up to two years ago showing community participation and/or demonstrating before and after;
- All entries to be sent to: info@moreland.vic.gov.au or mail Council at:
- Locked Bag 10, Moreland, VIC 3058
- All entries to be received no later than Friday 24 July.
Conditions of Entry
- All residents are invited to enter provided the street is within the boundary of the Moreland municipality.
- A ‘streets’ must contain a minium of 10 houses.
- Entries for a part of a street – e.g. Bell Street between Nicholson Street and Sydney Road will be accepted provided they contain at least 10 houses.
- Nominees must agree to taking part in any promotional media resulting from nomination, including photos by/for Council use and local/metro media.
Streets will be judged on the following criteria
- Houses, lawns and nature-strips – appearance, cleanliness and features
- Shopfronts – appearance and cleanliness; active participation in community enrichment
- Public open spaces – appearance and use, including murals, artwork, shared-use facilities or services and other beautifying features, and
- Community participation - including working bees and residential events.
- The winning street will receive vouchers, -shirts and other goodies as well as a specially designed street plaque attached to the street’s name.
