Print a 20% discount voucher for bicycle lights
Many residents in the City of Moreland choose cycling as their preferred way of getting around. Its a smart choice with many health and environmental benefits.
With winter approaching and less light, you and your bike must be as as bright as possible.
It's also a requirement of the Victorian Road Rules.
Lights On Ride On
Commuter Cycles, Lygon Cycles and Moreland City Council are working together to get more riders more visible and:
- replace the batteries if your bike lights are dim, and
- buy new lights if your existing lights have seen better days.

Night travelling tips
- When cycling night make yourself as visible as possible. Wear bright and reflective clothing and use bike lights to let everyone know you're coming.
- When driving at night, be prepared for cyclists and pedestrians. Tak extra time to look and adjust your speed so you're ready to deal with the unexpected.
- When walking at night, it's sometimes difficult for cyclists and motorists to see you. Make yourself more visible by wearing bright or reflective clothing. Walk in a predictable way so other road users can react appropriately when they see you.
- Council Staff will chat to cyclists at along the Upfield Bike Path and Sydney Road and give tips on how to be more visible when riding at night.
