The Newlands Senior Citizens Centre at 49-53 Murray Road Coburg is available for hire for community groups, meetings, and training. This Centre is not available for parties.

Availability
You can hire the Centre between 8 am and 10 pm, depending on prior bookings. This Centre is not available for parties of any kind.
Hire rates
- $12.40 per hour for community groups
- $23 per hour for private users on weekdays
- $63 per hour for private users on weekends
- Prices effective until July 2012 inclusive of GST
- Hourly rate applies for a minimum of 3 hours.
- Penalty rate applies per hour or part thereof beyond agreed booking time stated on hire agreement.
- $200 bond applies to all bookings.
- $25 public liability insurance.
- Facility must be cleaned and vacated by 10 pm
Catering
The Newland Senior Citizens Centre has no tied catering arrangements. You can choose your own catering or self cater your meeting. No crockery, cutlery or glassware available. All rubbish must be disposed of responsibly.
How to book Newlands Senior Citizens Centre
Make a booking request online
- Check if Newlands Senior Citizens Centre is available and make a tentative online booking request for your event.
- Detailed step-by-step instructions help you through the booking request process.
- At the end of the process you are emailed a booking request number.
- Council contacts you to discuss your booking request.
- Once Council accepts your booking request, download, complete and send in the Community Facilities Booking form (DOC 234Kb).
- You pay a $200 security bond by cheque or money order, made out to 'Moreland City Council'.
- Council confirms your booking in writing.
- After your event is held and the hall is in the same condition, your security bond is returned in three to six weeks.
Book over the phone or by email
- Call us on 9240 2280 or email to make a booking.
- Download, complete and send in the booking form (DOC 259Kb).
- Council will confirm your booking in writing and invoice you.
