The Moreland Community Development Grants Program gives financial support and incentive to community groups, organisations and individuals to implement and support community building initiatives.

Partnership (Capital Works Projects) Grants - Expression of Interest (EOI) submissions open Monday 6 February and close Friday 30 March 2012.

How to apply
Council has different types of grants. See an explanation of each grant type below.
- Choose the grant you are eligible for and that meets your needs.
- Council can give you feedback on your funding ideas.
- All application proposals must be discussed with the Grants Officer on 9240 1111 or email Grants at Moreland before you submit an application.
- Read helpful hints for completing your application, and
- Download and read the guidelines, fill in and submit an application form by the due date, and provide all
supporting documentation as outlined in the checklist.
Eligibility criteria
Applications must meet 2 sets of eligibility criteria:
- Moreland Community Grants Program criteria which apply to all of the Grants, and
- criteria of the grant type you are applying for as outlined in the Grant Guidelines.

Seeding grants
New initiatives up to $2999. Groups seeking to become incorporated up to $1000.
Grants that support innovative and developmental projects by Moreland based community groups, organisations or individual artists and support the incorporation and strengthening of Moreland based community groups.
Applications open Monday 6 February and close 3pm Friday 30 March 2012.
Applications available during opening dates only.
Duration
Up to 12 months.
Project grants
Up to $5000.
Financial support to groups, organisations and individual artists in the implementation of projects designed to benefit and engage the Moreland community.
Applications open Monday 6 February and close 3pm Friday 30 March 2012.

Duration
Up to 12 months.
Operational funding
Up to $10,000 per annum.
Support for key community organisations with operational costs such as rent, administration and core program delivery over a period of 3 years.
Expressions of interest are now closed.
Duration
Over 3 financial years.
Quick Response grants
Up to $500.
Financial support for groups to fund essential activities outside of the Moreland Community Development Program round.
Application dates
Any 12 month funding period dependent on application and reporting dates.
Duration
Any 12 month period.
Achievement grants
Up to $500.
Assistance to residents of Moreland to pursue achievements in their chosen area of expertise. This may include but is not limited to significant sporting, academic and artistic endeavours.

Length of the endeavour.
Duration
Applicants eligible for one grant only per 24 month period.
Seniors and membership activity grants
Up to $1,000.
Assistance to Moreland based incorporated community groups who meet on a regular basis to address issues of isolation and to promote active community involvement.
Application dates
Any 12 month funding period dependent on application and reporting dates.
Duration
12 months.
Partnerships program grants
Up to $40,000 with a minimum of 25 per cent matched by the applicant.
To improve the quality of life of the Moreland community by developing a sense of community, the environment and aesthetics of neighbourhoods and locations. The program does this by building partnerships among community groups, neighbourhood associations, businesses and Council.
