About Councillors and Moreland's wards

Moreland City Council is one of 79 local governments in Victoria.

Moreland has 11 Councillors who are elected from specific areas across the City - called wards. There are three wards in Moreland: the North-East Ward and North-West Ward have four councillors each and the South Ward is represented by three councillors.

Elections are held every four years. Elections for the current Council were held on Saturday 29 November 2008.

The Mayor of Moreland City Council, Cr Lambros Tapinos, was elected at the Ceremonial Meeting of Council on Monday 15 December 2008.
